Title: Fischer-Tropsch production of light olefins using Co-Mn catalysts
Edd A. Blekkan is professor in catalysis and Head of department (since 2013) at the Dep. of Chemical Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He received his doctorate in Industrial chemistry from NTH (now NTNU) in 1985. He has been a visiting professor at Univ. Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France, University of Cardiff, Wales, Cambridge University, England, and also worked a period as a visiting scientist in the petrochemical company Borealis.
His research interests cover the broad field of catalysis and petrochemistry, with an emphasis on experimental studies on topics like natural gas conversion, biofuels, and oil refining. He has published about 70 papers in refereed journals. He is an elected member of the Norwegian Academy of Technical Sciences (NTVA), and former president of the Norwegian Catalysis Society. He has organized several national and international meetings, and is a referee and member of the editorial board in several journals
