报告人简介：
Professor Kazuaki Ishihara received his Ph.D degree in 1991 at Nagoya University, under the guidance of Prof. Hisashi Yamamoto. He was a JSPS Fellow under the Japanese Junior Scientists Program from 1989 to 1991. After he completed his postdoctoral studies with Prof. E. J. Corey at Harvard University, he beame an assistant professor at Nagoya University since 1992 and an associate professor in 1997. In 2002, he was promoted to full professor.
His research interests include asymmetric catalysis, biomimetic catalysis and chiral supramolecular catalysis. He is the member of advisory board of several journals, and received a number of awards: the JSPS Prize (2005), the BCSJ Award (2005), the IBM Japan Science Prize (2007), the Mukaiyama Award (2009), the Inoue Prize for Science (2011), Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (2013), the SSOCJ Daiichi-Sankyo Award for Medicinal Organic Chemistry 2012 (2013) and the Ichimura Academic Award (2013).
